My name is Damon Binstead, I've studied in Melbourne & Brisbane Australia at SAE QANTM, During my studies at university I have aimed to educate myself in most avenues of a 3d production, whenever possible learning processes and tools regarding, sculpting, hard surface modelling, VFX & Lighting.
As of January 2020, I've started working full time at Mining Skills Australia, Producing 3d animations for the industrial learning sector. My responibilities at this job include, working in Unreal engine 4, modelling, rigging and animating hard surface machinary. I've also been given the opportunity to project manage and teach interns and new employees the ins and outs of our workflow.
I work predominantly in Maya & 3ds max, generally creating hard surface assets, but also including other aspects of a 3D workflow, (VFX, Sculpting, rendering). I also have proficient knowledge of use with programs like Unreal engine, Substance Painter, Marmoset Tool-bag, After Effects, Mudbox.
I aim to progress as an individual as well as a professional within the industry, I hope to develop my skills and knowledge within multiple avenues of production to ultimately gain experience and knowledge to cement myself as a professional.
